A Snowy Walk

It is said there is a season for everything. I like to think of winter as a time for introspection. It is so difficult when the sun is shining on a beautiful spring or summer morning to stay inside. However, winter affords us the opportunity to collect ourselves and to grow inwardly. Granted this is not pain free. I would much rather be outside riding my bike walking my dog or playing golf. My bones creak like an old floor, my skin is as dry as sandpaper and yet my soul is content to rest awhile gathering itself for warmer, sunnier times.

You have to love those colts

One thing is true about Indy - We LOVE our colts! Going to a colts game is a two color one sound experience: blue and white and loud. Peyton Manning will go down in the history books as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever. Dealing with technology

I don’t know about you but the KISS (keep it simple stupid) is a wonderful reminder that even though the world is getting smaller, more complicated, faster and busier I have to remain focused on simple things. There are so many distractions, temptations and people wanting our time we are learning to cloister ourselves just to get everyday things accomplished. Our ancestors would probably have welcomed some of the diversions we are trying to escape from. They didn’t have instant this and that. I am grateful for our advancements and I know if we don’t keep it all in perspective our lives are well, basically, overwhelming.
